SIMBA is a sight and sound resource to meet the unique in-depth image needs of researchers, scholars, publishers, picture editors, advertisers, exhibitors and others who are searching for high quality validated audio, visual and written information about Africa, Arabia and their respective Diasporas. SIMBA’s linkage to the OLAfrica CyberAc@demy is essential for creating and distributing quality multimedia products created by indigenous people.

Several African student photographers, recent graduates and working professionals are represented by SIMBA. To date, we have supplied image banks with dozens of photos, audio-visuals and video for development. The OnLine Africa Project began this agency in 1993 upon realizing the power of the then-emerging World Wide Web and the very real possibility that subjective and too often one-dimensional western perspectives would also exclusively dominate this innovation.

Today, SIMBA’s content comes from a growing network of dedicated indigenous professional and community media producers of photographs, stories, audio-visuals, film and broadcast materials that are suitable for inclusion in balanced life-long learning and information programs about Africa and the Diaspora.

NO PROBLEM (hakuna matata) if you are not yet a polished professional image crafter. You might be eligible for FREE TRAINING in digital photography and video.
